Digital Yacht NeXuX Connect announced
Digital Yacht has unveiled the NeXuX Connect, a gateway device that enables internet access on board using LTE/4G and incorporates a WAN interface for Starlink connectivity. They claim that with the small external antenna provided, it can deliver service up to 15 nautical miles offshore at speeds reaching 300Mb/s.
The NeXuX Connect features an integrated GPS receiver (for position alarms and tracking), dual SIM card slots with failover and a built-in dual-band WiFi router.
The NeXuX Connect is the younger sibling of the 4GXtream, featuring a single dome antenna unit with lower performance and lacking NMEA 2000 integration. Priced at approximately US$1050, it offers a more cost-effective alternative to the 4GXtream, which is priced around US$1510.
