Garmin, in the latest of its new product announcements leading up to the ICAST show later this month, has released information on a 16″ addition to the Garmin Echomap Ultra 2 series of chartplotters.
This announcement closely follows last month’s announcements of the new Fusion Apollo RA800 and the GPSMAP 1553xsv, along with a couple of Force trolling motors.

Features of the Garmin Echomap Ultra 2
This is a hybrid touch (a touchscreen with physical buttons) chart plotter. It also features Bluetooth, which allows voice control, using a paired headset, of compatible Garmin Force trolling motors.
The Garmin Echomap Ultra 2 16″ features a built-in sonar and is, optionally, supplied with the GT56UHD transducer offering Ultra High-Definition ClearVü™ and SideVü™ sonar along with CHIRP traditional sonar. It is also compatible with Garmin’s LiveScope™ scanning sonar modules.
